Rhiti Tiwari, daughter of actor and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, was eliminated from the Bigg Boss 20 house last week after fellow contestants Mahhi Vij, Yung DSA, and Uditi Singh chose to end her stint during a task. Following her exit, Rhiti spoke to The Free Press Journal about her time in the house, addressing the controversies surrounding her and reflecting on how the experience shaped her.
One of the most talked-about aspects of Rhiti’s journey inside the Bigg Boss 20 house was her repeated clashes with contestant Qazi Touqeer. Several viewers and co-contestants speculated that her frustration stemmed from jealousy towards Qazi. When asked directly about this, Rhiti explained that her feelings were rooted in self-doubt rather than envy. She said she had entered the show wanting to showcase her work and creativity, but began feeling that she wasn’t performing as well as she wanted to, while Qazi appeared to be excelling. She admitted that in that vulnerable state, her words and reactions could easily be misread as jealousy or insecurity.
Rhiti further said she believes she was misunderstood by the audience, but was quick to note that her emotional outbursts were simply human nature. She compared it to how people vent to friends during tough times, explaining that she was doing the same thing with her co-contestants, except her private moments of vulnerability were unfolding in front of a national television audience. This, she said, left her open to public judgment, criticism, love, and hate all at once.
Despite the controversies and her eventual elimination, Rhiti expressed contentment with how her journey unfolded on Bigg Boss 20. She said she was glad she could honestly portray her full emotional arc, from the lows and the feeling of being broken, to how she reacted and ultimately rebuilt herself after hitting that breaking point. According to Rhiti, the overall experience has been one of the most impactful of her life.
