Speculation has been swirling among fans that singer Qazi Touqeer may have been eliminated from Bigg Boss 20 due to health concerns. However, his team has stepped in to clarify that the popular contestant is still very much a part of the house, despite struggling with a fever and low energy levels.
Reports had earlier suggested that Qazi contracted dengue and was removed from the set for treatment, fuelling rumours of his exit from the reality show. Addressing the confusion, Qazi’s team issued a statement on his official Instagram account, confirming that he has not left the Bigg Boss house and has not been diagnosed with dengue. According to the statement, Qazi has been dealing with fever for the past few days and was recently taken to the medical room after feeling low on energy, where he was examined by a doctor.
The statement read, “A heartfelt update for the Qazi family. Our rockstar Qazi has been dealing with fever for the past few days inside the Bigg Boss house and has been taking some much-needed rest whenever he gets the chance. Recently, he was feeling a little low on energy and was taken to the medical room, where he was examined by the doctor. He continues to be inside the Bigg Boss house, and we remain in touch with the BB team regarding his well-being. Even while taking it a little easy, Qazi continues to participate, entertain everyone and bring his infectious positivity to the house.”
His team further urged fans to avoid relying on unverified reports and to remain patient. “We request everyone to stay calm, keep faith and continue showering Qazi with your love, prayers and positive energy. We’ll keep you updated, and once he’s feeling completely back to himself, we know our most energetic Rockstar will be back with his full aura and unstoppable energy! Until then, keep supporting him and keep the love coming. Rest. Recover. And roar back, Rockstar! We’re all with you,” the statement concluded, signed as Team Qazi.
Qazi Touqeer, who first gained recognition as the co-winner of Fame Gurukul in 2005 alongside Ruprekha Banerjee, has become one of the standout contestants this season of Bigg Boss. The Kashmiri singer has reportedly earned praise from host Salman Khan for staying composed during heated confrontations inside the house. This health update comes shortly after a mid-week eviction that saw Rhiti Tiwari, daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, voted out of the house by captaincy contenders Mahhi Vij, Yung DSA, and Uditi Singh for contributing the least among nominated housemates. Her exit followed an intense stretch inside the house, including a heated diss battle between Qazi and Uditi.
