PM Kisan 24th Installment: Complete These 4 Tasks Now or Your ₹2,000 May Get Stuck

Millions of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme, which promises a direct benefit transfer of ₹2,000 into eligible beneficiaries’ bank accounts. As speculation grows about the exact release date, agricultural communities are on high alert to ensure they do not miss out on this crucial financial support.

Recent reports suggest that the 24th installment could be announced very soon, with some sources hinting at a possible release around the Dussehra festival period — the day when Ravana is burned across the country. While no official confirmation has been issued yet, the buzz has sent farmers rushing to verify their registration details and compliance status.

Experts and government advisories are urging farmers to complete four essential tasks before the installment is credited. First, beneficiaries must ensure their e-KYC is fully updated, as incomplete verification is one of the primary reasons payments get withheld. Second, farmers should confirm that their Aadhaar number is correctly linked to their registered bank account. Third, land records must be verified and matched with state government databases to avoid discrepancies. Fourth, beneficiaries should check whether their name appears on the latest PM Kisan beneficiary list available on the official portal.

There is also ongoing discussion about whether the government might double the installment amount to ₹4,000 for this particular cycle. However, no official announcement has been made regarding any increase in the payment amount, and farmers are advised not to rely on unverified claims circulating on social media.

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme was launched to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, offering ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments. Farmers can visit the official PM Kisan portal or their nearest Common Service Centre to check their payment status and resolve any pending issues before the next release.
