In an interview, Raveena told how at the beginning of her career her job was cleaning the studio. She used to work there to clean the vomit from the bathroom.
Raveena tells in a conversation with Mid Day, It is true. I started my career doing a cleaning job in the studio. My job was to clean the vomit from the bathroom and studio floor. And I had assisted Prahlad Kakkar probably after leaving class 10th. Then people used to tell me what are you doing behind the camera. You should be ahead. And I used to say, ‘No, no, me, that too the actress? never.’ So today I am by default in this industry. Growing up, I never thought that I would become an actress.
How did you enter acting?
Raveena Tandon also told about doing an internship for Prahlad Kakkar. She said, ‘Whenever a model used to come on the sets of Prahlad, she used to say ‘call Raveena.’ Then he would ask me to do makeup and get me to pose. So I thought that if I have to do all this, then why to do it again and again for free for Prahlad, why not earn some pocket money from it. That’s why I started modeling. Then I started getting offers for films. Then I did not know anything about acting, dancing, or dialogue delivery. So I feel I have changed with time and I have learned.
