Farah Khan Tells Paparazzi Not to Click Her Inappropriately, Cites Salman Khan’s Warning

Farah Khan asked photographers in Mumbai to avoid clicking her from inappropriate angles, referencing Salman Khan’s recent on-air rebuke to paparazzi on Bigg Boss 20.

Farah Khan has become the latest Bollywood celebrity to call out photographers over inappropriate clicking practices, directly referencing Salman Khan’s recent remarks on Bigg Boss 20. The filmmaker-choreographer was spotted by paparazzi during a recent outing in Mumbai, where she addressed the photographers before posing for pictures.

When the photographers approached her, Farah first questioned them, asking why they had come and who they intended to photograph. After they informed her they were there to click her, she initially dismissed them with a look before turning back to address the matter directly. She told them not to photograph her from behind, invoking Salman Khan’s words: “Salman bhai ne bola na peeche se nahi lene ka, turn karo, turn karo,” asking them to turn their cameras instead.

The incident comes in the wake of Salman Khan’s outburst against photographers during a previous episode of Bigg Boss 20, where he criticised the practice of clicking female celebrities from inappropriate angles. He pointed out that while some actors may not mind such shots, many others are visibly uncomfortable with the practice. He cited examples including Saiee Manjrekar’s discomfort and Neha Dhupia’s objections, and also mentioned an instance involving his own niece being photographed from behind while walking, with captions asking viewers to guess her identity.

Salman further urged people to confront photographers who engage in such behaviour, suggesting they should be asked how they would feel if their own family members were photographed similarly. He expressed strong disapproval of the practice, noting that most women he knows, including those who have since become mothers, have never been comfortable with such photography. Interestingly, after his on-show comments, Salman himself was photographed at a recording studio late on Tuesday night, where he cooperated with photographers who approached him more respectfully and thanked him for posing.
