In a pretty rare and surprising scene, former couple Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap were seen together at a special event. This happened on August 3rd, where Kalki, along with her husband Guy Hershberg and their daughter Sappho, showed up at the engagement party of Anurag’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire in Mumbai.
In a recent interview with India Today, Kalki openly talked about how things are between her and her ex-husband Anurag now. She said she’s actually feeling quite comfortable around him these days. Despite their past history and going their separate ways, they’ve managed to find some peace in their relationship.
When they asked Kalki if Anurag had anything to do with her latest film “Goldfish,” she mentioned that he watched it at the Busan International Film Festival and he really liked it. She added, “He was really supportive about it. And we’re all good now.”
Kalki also talked about her daughter Sappho’s friendship with Aaliyah. She said, “Aaliyah is just adorable with my daughter. They have this cute playful thing going on. So, basically, my daughter sees Aaliyah as a real princess.”

In case you didn’t know, Anurag introduced Kalki to the movie scene with “Dev D.” They got into a relationship and eventually got married, but it didn’t last and they split up in 2013. Anurag was previously married to Aarti Bajaj, and they have a daughter named Aaliyah together. Anurag considers both Aarti and Kalki as really important in his life.
Aaliyah got engaged to her long-time boyfriend Shane Gregoire in May 2023. She made the announcement on Instagram with a post that read, “soooooo THIS HAPPENED!!!!! to my best friend, my partner, my soulmate and now my FIANCE! you are the love of my life. thank you for showing me what real & unconditional love feels like. saying yes to you was the easiest thing I’ve ever done & I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love.
