In the recent past, many stars and filmmakers have shown their strength on OTT. Now the name of actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is also being added to the list of these celebrities, which has also been officially announced. In fact, Kareena is all set to make her digital debut with a murder mystery based on Japanese author Keigo Higashino’s novel, The Devotion of Suspect X.

The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and will also feature Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles along with Kareena. Streaming platform Netflix announced the film via video by Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay during a script reading session for the film led by the director.

Sharing her thoughts on the announcement, Kareena said, “I can’t wait to start working on this exciting project. It has a good story, a visionary director, and a super talented cast and crew.
The Devotion of Suspect X, the third novel in Higashino’s Detective Galileo series, is considered her most acclaimed work. This earned him the Naoki Prize, a highly respected literary honor in Japan. The novel has also won the prestigious Honkaku Mystery Award.

Talking about her film, Ghosh said, ‘Bhakti is probably the best love story ever. It is an honor to get a chance to adapt it into a film. Also, I have got a chance to work with Kareena, Jaideep, and Vijay.
