Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan are all set to rock in March. The first film to release in March is Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Jhund’. This film is going to hit the screens on March 4. ‘Jhund’ is a sports film based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO ‘Slum Soccer’. It also stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru.
Jhund
Directed by Nagraj Poptrao Manjule, in the film, Bachchan will be seen playing the role of a professor who inspires street children to form a football team.
Atharakkum Thunindavan
Setting the screens on fire is actor Suriya’s action entertainer ‘Atharakkum Thunindhavan’, which will release on March 10. The film was earlier scheduled to release on February 4. However, the makers chose to postpone its release after the lockdown restrictions were imposed.
Radheshyam
Then there is ‘Radhe Shyam’, in which South superstar Prabhas will be seen playing the role of a palmist, while actress Pooja Hegde will be seen as his girlfriend. The film will release on March 11.
The Kashmir Files
Along with ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘The Kashmir Files’, directed by filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, will hit theatres. Postponed due to the significant increase in COVID cases in the country, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on the lives of Kashmiri Pandits. It includes many names like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi.
Bachchan Pandey
This is followed by Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ star Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Bachchan Pandey’. ‘Bachchan Pandey’ is going to hit the big screen on March 18. The film stars Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateek Babbar, and Abhimanyu Singh. The film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film ‘Jigarthanda’.
RRR
While filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR’ is going to release on March 25. ‘RRR’ was earlier supposed to hit the screens in January. Starring Telugu superstars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, ‘RRR’ is touted as a fictional tale of two real-life unsung heroes who fought for tribal rights. Ram Charan and Jr NTR play the roles of Alluri Sitarama Raju, the leader of the Rampa rebellion of 1922, and Komaram Bheem, a Gond rebel fighting the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.
Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgan, and Shriya Saran are also playing important roles in this film.
