Before making her Bollywood debut in the film “Jawan” alongside Shah Rukh Khan, South superstar Nayantara had turned down an offer to work with him in another superhit movie. While “Jawan” has been creating waves at the box office, not many know about Nayantara’s earlier rejection of a significant opportunity.
Prior to “Jawan,” Nayantara was offered a role alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbuster film “Chennai Express,” directed by Rohit Shetty. According to Times of India, she was offered the opportunity to perform in the film’s dance numbers one, two, three, and four.
However, Nayantara declined the offer to work with Shah Rukh Khan due to personal reasons. Subsequently, this role was taken up by Priyamani, who made a memorable appearance with Shah Rukh Khan in the song. It’s worth mentioning that “Chennai Express” earned over 200 crore rupees at the Indian box office.
As for the film “Jawan,” it not only stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nayantara but also features Vijay Sethupathi, Sanaya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Deepika Padukone in important roles. The film is directed by Atlee and was released on September 7, 2023, making a significant impact at the box office.
