The new Netflix film Sikandar Ka Muqaddar presents an intriguing premise with its crime-thriller plot, featuring a high-stakes diamond heist. The film follows Sikandar Sharma, played by Avinash Tiwary, whose life unravels after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Alongside Tiwary, Jimmy Shergill delivers a strong performance, contributing to the emotional weight of the story. However, despite these standout performances, the film is let down by its screenplay, which struggles to maintain tension and depth throughout.
The movie’s plot, while full of potential, falters as it becomes bogged down by a lack of character development and insufficient emotional engagement. While the film may appeal to fans of the genre, it ultimately misses the mark in delivering a truly engaging thriller. The performances of the lead actors and the film’s premise offer promise, but the underwhelming screenplay and missed opportunities in storytelling make it a forgettable experience.
