Sabrina Carpenter has kicked off 2025 with a bang, dropping her fiery new single “Manchild.” Co-written with longtime collaborator Amy Allen and produced by Jack Antonoff, the track doesn’t hold back. Packed with biting lyrics like “Did you just say you’re finished? Didn’t know we started,” it’s a confident, cutting pop moment that shows off Carpenter’s signature mix of sass and self-awareness.
“Manchild” marks Carpenter’s first standalone release of the year, following the deluxe edition of her Grammy-winning 2024 album Short n’ Sweet. At this year’s Grammy Awards, she took home two major honors: Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet and Best Pop Solo Performance for her chart-topping hit “Espresso.” She also wowed the crowd with a medley of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” during the live show.
Fans won’t have to wait long to catch her live—Carpenter is set to perform at Primavera Sound in Barcelona on June 6. She’s also on the bill for Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza this summer, with a new North American tour kicking off shortly after. Joining her on the road will be rising stars Ravyn Lenae, Amber Mark, and Olivia Dean.
