Imam Siddique Objects to Salman Khan’s ‘Harasser’ Remark on Bigg Boss 20, Writes Open Letter

Bigg Boss 6 runner-up Imam Siddique has penned an open letter to Salman Khan and Bigg Boss 20 makers, objecting to being labeled a harasser and demanding a public clarification.

Bigg Boss 6 finalist Imam Siddique has reacted strongly after host Salman Khan referenced him during a recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20. While reprimanding contestant Qazi Touqeer for his controversial conduct towards Kanika Mann, Salman had drawn a comparison with Imam’s behaviour in Bigg Boss 6, stating that Imam had intentionally bothered fellow contestants, though he clarified that Imam never harassed anyone with malicious intent. Imam has now written an open letter to Salman Khan and the makers of the show, objecting to the comparison and calling the remark defamatory.

In his letter, which tagged the Bigg Boss 20 makers, Imam pointed out that his name was invoked on national television on October 3, 2026, in a manner he described as factually incorrect and damaging. He refuted the claim attributed to him, stating that he never harassed any contestant with an intention to trouble them. According to him, his journey on Bigg Boss Season 6 was centred around entertainment, tasks, and performance, and he completed it with dignity.

Imam further explained that being cited as a negative example before a massive television audience, without any opportunity to defend himself, has caused serious harm to his reputation. He highlighted his 44-year-long career spanning advertising, broadcasting, corporate work, design, education, events, entertainment, and fashion, stating that the remark has also affected his family’s honour. He has formally requested Salman Khan and the Bigg Boss team to issue a clarification and correction on the show, along with an assurance that his name will not be used in a defamatory context going forward.

Addressing Salman Khan as his ‘elder brother,’ Imam expressed hope that the host would consider his request fairly. Notably, during his stint in Bigg Boss 6, Imam had once interrupted Salman mid-conversation by saying, “Salman Bhai, time out,” which led to Salman scolding him on the show. Urvashi Dholakia eventually won that season, with Imam finishing as the first runner-up. As of now, neither Salman Khan nor the Bigg Boss makers have responded to Imam’s open letter.
