Ayushmann Khurrana opens up about the difference between the OTT audience and theatergoers.

Ayushmann Khuranna that the people who are consuming OTT content is having a little different taste than those who are watching movies in theaters.
Ayushmann Khurrana who is on a promotion spree for his upcoming movie “Action Hero” talks about the taste of the audience consuming the content on the OTT platform. He further also talks about article 15 and its use of it in the cinema industry of India. While speaking about OTT consumers he says, “It suits the audience’s palette in the post-pandemic era. It’s also my first post-pandemic choice. This movie reinvents me as an actor because I have never done hardcore action before. Of everything that you have seen from me in the last few years, this is the most mainstream film. It feels like a relaunch.”

He further elaborated on article 15 and says, It’s tough to make overtly progressive films for theatres today because advanced people consume entertainment on OTT. It’s challenging to get the same kind of footfall today for Article 15 that it got back in the day. What is the use of Article 15 if it wasn’t successful on the big screen? OTT consumers already know about these social issues.”
Ayushmann who is known for making films on social issues has now opened up that further, he is not going to make such movies. The action hero is going to make his third appearance on the big screen this year. His previous two appearances are Anek and DoctorG. In Doctor G he is with Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah and in Anek he is with Manoj Pahwa and Kumud Mishra. These movies for unforeseen reason has not performed well at the Box office. Talking about the movie he says it is gonna be a completely different feeling for his audience as it has a completely different character from which he makes a movie.
