Actress Gauahar Khan, who won Bigg Boss 7, has raised questions over Mary Kom’s claim that fellow contestant Qazi Touqeer pushed her during a recent captaincy task on Bigg Boss 20. The incident occurred during a task where Mary Kom was seen falling, after which she blamed Qazi, alleging that his hand being inside a bag led to her fall.
Responding to the controversy, Gauahar took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday and shared a video recalling her own time on the reality show. She spoke about how contestants in earlier seasons of Bigg Boss had to endure physically and mentally taxing tasks, at times staying awake through the night to complete them.
Addressing the recent episode involving Mary Kom, Gauahar questioned whether Qazi’s action of removing his hand from the bag could really have caused such a fall. In her video, she said, “Itni badi hamari country ki hasti, jinme itna strength hai ki woh kisi ko bhi pachhaar de apni strength se. But woh keh rahi hai Qazi ka haath bag mein daalne se woh gir gayi! Please yaar! Weekend ke vaar pe please call out! I am requesting.”
Gauahar further elaborated that Mary Kom fell right after Qazi took his hand out of the bag, and likened the manner of her fall to that of “a choti bachchi.” While she acknowledged that the bag involved in the task was heavy, she maintained that the circumstances surrounding the fall needed closer scrutiny. She also appealed to the makers to take up the issue during the show’s Weekend Ka Vaar segment.
Bigg Boss 20 began airing on September 6 with a lineup of 16 contestants. Besides Mary Kom and Qazi Touqeer, the cast includes Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij, Aasif Khan, Amrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, ScoutOP (Tanmay Singh), Rhiti Tiwari, Isha Rikhi, Rohed Khan, Love Gill, Yung DSA (Harsh Machare), Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu, Aman Gandhi and Uditi Singh.
