The year 2022 is a very interesting year not only for Bollywood but also for the whole world. A complete year where the world works on its previous norm post-pandemic. It brings us some of the interesting results in front of us. As we see in Bollywood where some big films connected with some of the biggest stars such as Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan does not even collect their breakeven and some underdog movie collected more than ten twenty times their budget. The norm after the pandemic is that larger-than-life films will only collect the audience in the theatre. But these movies also proved such norms.

These all things is can be understood by the words of trade analyst Atul Mohan. He says, “The way the audience perceives patriotism and realism has changed. Hard-hitting films are no longer niche. The Kashmir Files came out at the right time when the tone that the film takes is something the audience is not averse to. And it connected with people. That led to good business, which is all that matters in the end,”
He further added, “You have to offer the audience something new. Post-pandemic, the old formulae are not working. You have to have something in the content that brings the audience. And word of mouth is working like never before. None of these films had great opening days like RRR or KGF but they grew steadily by word of mouth.”
Talking about the content he says, “It’s not about big or small. Content will work. But many big films are dependent a lot on marketing and publicity rather than sound content. If they deliver that, there’s no reason they won’t work.”
At last, he concluded, “It’s about the good presentation of content and not the scale.”
