Farah Khan Calls Out Paparazzi For Filming Her From Behind, Cites Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss Remarks

Farah Khan asked paparazzi not to film her from behind, referencing Salman Khan’s recent comments on Bigg Boss 20 about intrusive back shots of actresses.

Filmmaker-turned-YouTuber Farah Khan recently pulled up paparazzi for attempting to film her from behind while she was walking. Turning around to face the photographers, she referred to Salman Khan’s recent remarks on Bigg Boss 20 and asked them to stop taking such shots.

As the paparazzi tried to capture her from behind, Farah Khan turned and said, “Salman bhai ne bola na, peeche se nahi lene ka.” She followed it up by telling them firmly, “Turn karo,” making her discomfort with such shots clear. In a moment of visible frustration, she also questioned, “Are, turn karo matlab kya?”

Other Celebrities Have Also Objected to Back Shots

Farah Khan is not the only celebrity who has pushed back against this kind of paparazzi photography. Following Salman Khan’s comments on Bigg Boss 20, several other celebrities have echoed similar concerns. Manushi Chhillar was recently seen asking photographers to delete pictures taken from behind, telling them, “Please delete that. Don’t put any back shots.” Neha Dhupia has also previously confronted photographers over the same issue, asking, “Yeh badtameezi se backshot kaun leta hai?” and requesting them to stop the practice.

What Salman Khan Said on Bigg Boss 20

Salman Khan raised the issue during the September 20, 2026 Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, while discussing trolling and the way women celebrities are photographed by the media. He criticised photographers for taking “hip shots,” “taangon ke shots,” and particularly pictures taken from behind, saying that not all actresses are comfortable with such images, even if a few don’t mind them.

He cited instances involving Saiee Manjrekar, Neha Dhupia, and even his own niece, whose back shot was captioned “Pehchaano ye kaun hai?” Salman urged women who feel uncomfortable with such photographs to stand up for themselves, saying, “Jahan aisa hua, ghoom ke chamaat maaro. Bolna na apni maa behenon ka yeh shot lete ja, aur humko dikha.” He also described the practice as “disgusting” and asked, “What is this mentality?”
