Six years after the massive success of Stree, the filmmakers are back with its much-anticipated sequel, Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank. Directed by Amar Kaushik, this 2024 release has been eagerly awaited by fans and is set to become another hit in Vishal D’s horror-comedy universe, following Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and the latest, Munjya.
The story picks up in the haunted town of Chanderi, where residents are once again plagued by a supernatural presence—this time, an apparition known as Sarkata. After its theatrical release on August 15th, a day of celebration for India’s Independence, Stree 2 has already generated significant buzz, especially after an exciting trailer that left genre fans eager for more.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under Maddock Films and Jio Studios, the film reunites the original cast, with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor reprising their roles, alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar. Familiar faces like Rudra and Jana are back as well, blending humor, horror, and suspense in a way that has captivated audiences once again.
