Bigg Boss 20 contestant Uditi Singh has opened up about a lesser-known chapter of her life, revealing details about her past relationship with actor Karan Wahi and how it once caused concern for her parents. Speaking with co-contestants Gullu and Aman Gandhi inside the house, Uditi recalled how her family eventually found out about the romance.
According to Uditi, during the time she was dating Karan, she would frequently travel from London to Mumbai to meet him without informing her family. Since Karan regularly played football with several other actors, these visits also gave her the opportunity to meet celebrities such as Ranbir Kapoor, who she admitted was one of her favourites, and Abhishek Bachchan.
However, the secrecy around her visits did not last long. Uditi explained that during one of her stays in Mumbai, Karan posted a social media story that made her parents suspicious about a possible relationship between the two. She said her mother was particularly upset once the truth came out. Uditi added that the ten-year age gap between her and Karan, along with her parents’ discomfort about her dating an actor, were major reasons behind their disapproval.
Uditi clarified that the relationship was far from a brief celebrity fling. She revealed inside the Bigg Boss house that she and Karan had dated for about two and a half years and had even discussed marriage, indicating how serious they were about their future together. She admitted that the break-up left her struggling emotionally for a while afterward.
The topic has gained renewed attention amid speculation about Karan Wahi’s possible wildcard entry into Bigg Boss 20. When the subject was previously raised on the show, Uditi had stated that she has moved on from the relationship and would treat him like any other contestant if he entered the house. Bigg Boss 20, hosted by Salman Khan, airs on Colors TV at 10:30 pm and streams on Jio Hotstar at 9 pm.
